Ground to air signals
Ground to air signals are used to communicate with aircrafts flying above. These signals are used all over the world in emergencies and can be extremely helpful when trying to be rescued. Its best to pair this with smoke signals and have them set in clearings with little to no tree cover.
SOS
SOS was originally a maritime distress signal adopted internationally in 1906. Many people say it means “Save our ship” or “Save our Souls.” But in reality, it had no meaning. The letters in SOS was not meant to be used for the letters but for the dots and dashes to call for help. Today we used the spoken phrase “maday” to signal distress. But in the early 1900s mores code was the fastest way to send a message for help. SOS today is still a great way to signal for help. It can be read both upside-down and right-side up. These letters are so commonly known to the world and is proven to be very successful.
